[Bug 1857869] [NEW] Red fill the search stop icon

2019-12-29 Thread Clinton H
Public bug reported:

1) Ubuntu 19.10
2) 1:3.34.1-1ubuntu1
3) It might be better if the search stop icon was red filled. Similar to a stop
sign.
4) The search stop icon is white filled.

[Bug 1857829] [NEW] gnome calender does not respect format settings

2019-12-29 Thread john mark
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 19.10 (other versions are most likely affected too)

The gnome calender window (inside the notification window) that opens
when you click on the clock on the top does not respect the formating
that was set in the "Region & Language" settings. It only translates
months and days, but formating of my selected langauge is ignored.

I have my "Formats" set to german (and language set to english), so the correct
formating should be
29. Dezember 2019
but what I actually get is
Dezember 29 2019

Another issues is, the letters used inside the calender to abbreviate the days
are still displayed in english.
Example:
M T W T F S S
when it should be
M D M D F S S

BOTH of these issues are fixed by switching the system language to
german. This is not how it should be. These things should depend on the
systems format settings, not language.

[Bug 1857820] [NEW] e-cal-recur: Ignores recurrence exceptions

2019-12-29 Thread SchnippenSchnappen
Public bug reported:

Recurrence exceptions are no longer handled. That is, a recurring
appointment is drawn on days that are supposed to be an exception to the
recurrence rule. Imagine you have a meeting every Monday at 10 AM but
the next meeting got cancelled. You want to remove the cancelled meeting
from the calendar without removing all other past and future events.
This is no longer possible with 3.34.1 due to a bug.

This bug is known and fixed in upstream 3.34.2 however Ubuntu must
backport it to the 3.34.1 version shipped with eaon.

This is one of multiple upstream bug reports for this:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution-data-server/issues/162

This is the patch for 3.34.x: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution-
data-server/commit/795a6f9f687122f6ce0bcfbf2c45bcd4a33f30a2

(There is a separate patch for 3.35.x but I assume this is not relevant for the
current eaon version.)

[Bug 1857229] Re: User Error , Please Delete.

2019-12-29 Thread Lucap
** Summary changed:

- Ubuntu 19.10 unorthodox format?
+ User Error , Please Delete.

** Description changed:

- Any media i format to NTFS with gnome-disk can't be used in either my
- Hisense or Netgear Mediaplayers as it says no disks attached yet the
- same media formatted to NTFS with either Gparted or Windows works
- perfectly.
-
- gnome-disks seems to name EXT4 disks differently as instead of sdb1/sdc1
- it's just named sdb/sdc?
-
- Since upgrading to 19.10 i've started having issues with ubuntu seeing
- previous gparted EXT4 formatted drives ( that have worked perfectly
- before ) as suddenly now being read only?
-
- Formatting a boot drive with Gparted to EXT4 also hangs during install
- of ubuntu 19.10 when choosing the install drive or partition and refuses
- to continue but not when the boot drive has been formatted with gnome-
- disk it just installs as normal?
-
- I've tried this on two desktops and one laptop and they all exhibit the
- same issues.
+ User Error , Please Delete.

** Changed in: gnome-disk-utility (Ubuntu)
