The upstream fix seems to be in 3.37.1 and 3.36.2. Yet focal has 51 crash reports in 3.36.2 and later. So I think the upstream bug maybe should still be open (not a duplicate): https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/2596 That said, 51 is much lower than the 3000 crash reports from 3.36.0-3.36.1 so maybe upstream did fix most of the problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1868660 Title: gnome-shell crashed with SIGSEGV in st_theme_node_get_icon_style() from st_texture_cache_load_gicon() from st_icon_update() from _g_closure_invoke_va() from g_signal_emit_valist() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-shell/+bug/1868660/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1871849] Re: Full screen videos suddenly change scale when using fractional scaling
For fullscreen apps that don't have an absolute scale it makes a lot of sense to treat those as native resolution, without any fractional scaling. [Bug 1887514] [NEW] Some desktop files don't open with double click or Enter
Public bug reported: I have two folders visible in my desktop but not in the folder desktop (personal folder and trash), they were there when I installed Ubuntu. Some days ago I've added two .txt files on the desktop folder. Theses two files don't open when I double click, select and press Enter, or right click and select "open". To open them from the desktop, I have to right click, select "open with another application", then it opens a window and I select my program. After doing it two times and execute ubuntu-bug, select "open with..." don't open anymore the window but opens directly the file with the program I've selected before (it acts like "open"). To pinpoint the problem, I've copied two new .txt files, one with nautilus and one with right click on the desktop. Theses new files open normally, with double click or select and Enter. So the two other files are kind of locked... I am not sure if the problem comes from xdg-desktop-portal package, but I could not find a "better" package...
