Which onscreen keyboard is it (there are multiple)? Can you provide a
screenshot?
Also, can you please test a live boot of 20.04.1 and tell us if the
problem is still there?

I'm not sure we should treat the freeze as a separate issue since
dragging and dropping isn't expected to work (bug 1813441).

It's not a new problem. I can see the same issue in 20.04 right now.
I'm not sure it's a bug though... GTK3 titlebars are functionally
different to GTK2 titlebars.

Which Nvidia driver you use probably isn't very important here. I
suggest we don't start a new conversation about that. This is a bug in
the 'mutter' package.

Amazing, this extension really seems to be doing the trick.
At least playing fullscreen videos in Firefox and Gnome Videos seems to be
working again.
But Kodi still doesn't work corrently. There is a huge dark border around the
actual Kodi window, as you can see in the picture that I attached.
Matthew, thank you for properly identifying the responsible component of
Ubuntu 18.04 that prevents Thunderbird and VLC from interoperating.
"gnome-software" is more precise.
This is not a Thunderbird, VLC or snapd problem. This is an Ubuntu 18.04
application packaging issue. The problem is that

In Ubuntu 18.04 we had this line in fstab which was working well
sshfs#dh@keewin:Mes_documents/ /home/dh/Mes_documents/ fuse
compression=yes,port=36022,user,,noatime,reconnect,workaround=all 0

After upgrade to 20.04 we get
dh@feijoa:~$ mount /home/dh/Mes_documents/
For me, https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/1873/disable-unredirect-
fullscreen-windows/ extension solved the issue.
