I think this is the crash being reported in impish live sessions but the
core files keep getting truncated so it's hard to tell. See also bug
1940532.

Nevermind. Seems the crash is easy to reproduce but I too cannot get a
valid core file :(
All the evidence points to:

The Ubuntu Error Tracker has been receiving reports about a problem regarding
gnome-shell. This problem was most recently seen with package version
40.2-1ubuntu1, the problem page at

Confirmed, but even when it works Totem is an inefficient player with
high CPU and stutters. I would recommend 'mpv' for the best experience.

The standard gstreamer plugins (base, good, bad, ugly) should support
this. I don't know why none of them work in impish for H264 + AAC.
Although this plugins package does work:

correctly in the log so still has the name of the process that launched
it.
