'cariboubloc...@git.keringar.xyz' is actually a remnant from Ubuntu 20.04 and isn't enabled, and 'block-caribou...@lxylxy123456.ercli.dev' is ridiculously simple and only messes with the a small portion of the OSK (https://github.com/lxylxy123456/cariboublocker/blob/master/42/extension.js). [Bug 1857392] Re: Window manager warning: Overwriting existing binding of keysym...
Ubuntu 22.04. I get this burst of warnings (> 1K of log) for keys <1> to <9> every time I switch keyboard layout. It's spamming syslog to the point of making it useless (8K+ lines of this in the last couple of days). What is the point of this warning? The binding is not actually even changed according to the log! Something rebinds the number keys (<1>, <2>, etc) to the keysyms for the digits (0x31, ...) again - why is this not at notice or debug level? [Bug 1993557] [NEW] Nautilus "Files" hangs when trying to type search string
Public bug reported: Hi, I recently installed Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS (dual boot installation on a new Dell XPS15 laptop shipped with Windows 11 Pro). For the last couple of days, when I try typing more than one letter in the files search menu, I get a ' "Files" is not responding ' message and have to force quit. My /var/log/syslog (and a syslog.1) had grown to a large number of GB (so I won't attempt to attach it). I purged them a while ago but syslog has grown again to >23GB. It seems filled by lines all similar to these two: Oct 19 16:58:57 [...] tracker-miner-f[2233]: g_file_equal: assertion 'G_IS_FILE (file1)' failed Oct 19 16:58:57 [...] tracker-miner-f[2233]: g_file_has_prefix: assertion 'G_IS_FILE (file)' failed nautilus: Installed: 1:42.2-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 1:42.2-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 1:42.2-0ubuntu1 500 500 http://fr.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu jammy-updates/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 1:42.0-1ubuntu2 500 500 http://fr.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu jammy/main amd64 Packages Your help resolving this would be much appreciated. [Bug 1993244] Re: weird default applications behaviour
so the calendar selector in setting doesn't list evolution or gnome- calendar in those cases? Are they listed if you right click on an ics file from nautilus? could you include your /usr/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache in that case and the log from the packages installation? does doing $ sudo update-desktop-database resolve the issue? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1993244 Title: weird default applications behaviour To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/1993244/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
