[Bug 1965123] Re: Rounded corners are missing (square indents instead)

2024-03-11 Thread Daniel van Vugt
The dock fix isn't actually a fix, it's just a workaround:
https://github.com/micheleg/dash-to-dock/commit/46b81aeb4bf18d2f8a75fbf2d0ef6c047f3711f2

I expect that if we can get a proper fix into gnome-shell then the
workaround can be removed.

[Bug 2056543] Re: Ubuntu 24.04 breaking gnome, showing "Oops.." requesting logout, and several instabilities when using GDM3 instead of Waylan after upgrading from 22.04 to 24.04

2024-03-11 Thread Carlos H Simoes
Yes.

I reproduced it exactly here to validate, when trying to close an APP by
clicking on the dock, when closing, the session was immediately logged
out.

A few days ago, I tried to disable Waylan, but the problems seem to
recur more often. But it happens anyway.

In some cases, for example, if you try to just block the current
session, it also generates behavior.

Below is the result of journalctl attached to this.

Thanks!

[Bug 2046844] Re: AppArmor user namespace creation restrictions cause many applications to crash with SIGTRAP

2024-03-11 Thread Guy Schlosser
I have read in a couple other pages that I can edit
/etc/apparmor.d/firefox. Since I'm using version 124 beta 9, and my
firefox is installed in /opt/firefox, do I just adjust the path in that
file to make it work? Thanks much in advance for the help.

[Bug 2056767] [NEW] DRAFT [FFe] gnome-software package split

2024-03-11 Thread Jeremy Bícha
Public bug reported:

As requested by the Ubuntu Release Team, I am providing early notice of
a Feature Freeze Exception I intend to request soon (later this week
hopefully) to split the gnome-software package into separate binary
plugins. This will allow users and flavors to specifically opt into the
parts of the GNOME Software experience they want. For instance, someone
may want to use only the Flatpak part or only the apt/.deb part.

What is Needed Now
-
Finish the Salsa merge request to get some review from others.
Evaluate different use case workflows and how well the changes help and any
issues that may result

[Bug 2056753] [NEW] pygobject FTBFS on armhf: time_t build test failure

test_gi.py runs a time_t test that I believe is using functions in
