There is no Recycle Bin when pressing Shift+Del. The file just goes away
without confirmation.
And Nautilus does ask you when pressing Shift+Del. So should the Desktop.
When pressing just Del then the Desktop should give the option to Undo
it. If you want the same behaviour as Nautilus.

I just realized that the error messages are in Hungarian in that log
file. Let me know if you want me to change the system language back to
English and redo the test. However I see a timeout error message:
send_reply(0x8b3940), failed=1 (Időtúllépés a kapcsolatban)
meaning: timeout in the connecti
The timeout happens in about 10 seconds. It does not happen if I
upload/download something to/from the server.
It's a Samba server running on a Asus RT-N66U router. (Firmware:
3.0.0.4.376_3754 (latest), the Samba server is stock)

I'm not sure if I have the same issue but I'm getting the "Invalid
argument" error message when I try to delete something from the samba
share. I don't know about the copying problem, usually I don't copy
anything from the smb share to the PC it's mounted on.
I can't find bug report for the deleti
I don't have this issue anymore. Something has changed, either on the
client or on the server side.

I was trying to drag and drop an icon from the dash to the launcher but
it didn't work. It just won't stay in the launcher. Is this a separate
issue or related to this one? Does it work for other people or is it

I get the same error message when I try to delete a large file from an
SMB share. Usually the second attempt works fine. Using Ubuntu 14.04
