ekiga crashes
It was ekiga version 2.0.9-0ubuntu3. I just noticed that Update Manager
does list an update to 2.0.11 but the item is greyed and I CANNOT SELECT
IT. So my system is obviously stuck with an old version. WHY? This is
ubuntu 7.10 beta.

I have this Bug on Ubuntu 10.04/10.10 on two different machines(one is x64, the
other x86), i don't know where this comes from or how to give you information
about it, but after a (random!) period of time the gnome-settings-daemon
I think i can provide some additional information:
I think this has something to do with NetworkManager/or some Network .. thing,
because if you often disconnect and connect your lan cable or wlan, this forces
the gnome-settings-daemon to hang.

I have to correct some things I said before. It does not hang randomly, it only
hangs when internet/dsl is reconnected. (normally every 24 hours here in
Germany) [lan always stays connected] and after suspend/hibernate.

this bug) is the "system is too slow" message. That one correlates. I
see it every time it happens.

On my system, it takes anywhere from 1 to 10 seconds for the panel
tooltips to go away. This means that the Desktop can be blocked for 10

I just checked with the tooltips from within Firefox (e.g. back icon),

Like I wrote earlier in the bug report, this happens on Feisty and
Gutsy, and it is not easily reproducible.
1. Open a Terminal
2. Type something and watch the mouse cursor disappear
3. Move the mouse. In very rare cases, the mouse cursor does not re-appear

As far as I can tell, you haven't actually said what kind of MP3 player
you have as Integrated Circuit Solution is not a brand of MP3 player.
Also, please tell us how you expected the MP3 player to be detected if
not as a USB device. Almost all MP3 players other than iPods and Sony
Walkmen will
