before gnome-session, or if in System-Preferences-Sessions, gaim is
listed in the Startup Programs list?

On an updated Dapper install, I can observe the same behavior. Setting
the timezone to Europe/Belgrade does not stick. The next time I open the
Adjust Date Time option in the clock on the desktop, the TimeZone is
