In Dapper the 2 of 1 bug was fixed with an update from dapper-updates. But in
Feisty it is here again, eg. with GEdit, which still uses the old libgnomeprint
library.
If I print a file with the option Handout 2 pages on 1 under Layout, the
preview shows a normal output, that contains 1 page on
As I can see in Dapper Drake this problem does not occur. For me it is
fixed. I assume it has to do with the gstreamer pipeline. At the end
there is now a call of an ID3 V2 tag module.

Thank you. I use dapper. Perhaps I will try to backport gnome-pilot and

Public bug reported:
After first syncing my palm under dapper with copy from pilot some categories
in the memos of evolution have wrong characters. Eg. a ? instead of a ä. I
assume that there is no conversion to UTF-8.
The text of the memos are correct.
** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu)
I use dapper and gnome-pilot 2.0.13. I will try to backport 2.0.14 from
edgy to dapper as soon as possible.

I have worked now for several weeks with sebastiens packages from the above

Please put this fix to dapper-updates. Thank you.

I have try it out with my backported version of gnome-pilot 2.0.14. The
result is the same, even with PILOT_CHARSET set to CP1252. I assume,
there is no conversion in the memo code itself, as it is on the

No, this is not a dup of bug 64575. Bug 64575 is against the EMemo conduit from
evolution. There are only the categories wrong.
This bug is against the conduit MemoFile from the package gnome-pilot-conduits.
Here all the text is wrong.
