Binary package hint: gthumb
I am trying to import photos with gthumb (Ubuntu 7.10) from my mobile phone.
The list of image thumbnails is correctly viewed, but I can not import anything
because I have both photos and small GIFs (clipart, frames ecc) that libgphoto

I also signalled this in gnome bugzilla since the problem is present upstream

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: evince
Evince does not correctly identify PDF/A documents and reports PDF-1.4 (in File
/ Properties).
Since PDF/A is an important international standard it would be useful to
correctly identify a conforming document, as Adobe Reader does for example.
Attached a simple PDF generated with OpenOffice PDF Export function, with
PDF/A-1a option.
Adobe Reader 9.1 correctly reports PDF/A compliance mode.

I think this should be reported upstream to poppler, so that this improvement
could be made also to other tools, like pdfinfo for example.

No I don't have any rendering issue.
But PDF/A has become an international standard for the long-term archiving of
electronic documents (from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PDF/A).
For example in Italy this format is required by many public organizations
(Trade Bureau and many others).
So it's
I produced a patch that adds PDF/A detection capability to evince, by examining
the xml metadata as stated in www.pdfa.org specification.
I will also post this upstream.

Also in Italian the mount point is something like
~/.gvfs/Mount gphoto2 su usb%3A001,004
So I had to change /usr/share/applications/gthumb-import.desktop to
Exec=sh -c 'gvfs-mount -u ~/.gvfs/*gphoto2*; exec gthumb --import-
photos'
(double *gphoto*) as Stephane did for the French language.
Same behaviour here, I upgraded from Jaunty, on AMD64. The burn
command is silently ignored.
