For me issue is that, despite the default layout is USA, and previous window
had USA, the layout in new window is somewhy Rus, and due to bug 637360 it's
different from shown. However, if you press a shortcut, the layout changes
*indeed*, indicator doesn't change, but it becomes right.

This bug appears frequently on russian pdfs.
Some more example:
On the attached pdf Evince adds 'e' symbol to the end of every word. Also, it
adds many other symbols when the text is in =2 columns.
PDF file example-russian-pdf.pdf and two screenshots are attached.

Selecting certain words containing the letter f duplicates the letter
For me, this problem was not fixed after the update from lucid-proposed.

Evince doesn't handle columns properly
Initilally it was created with Acrobat plugin for MS Word, but I used
Evince's Print to file option to cut one page from it. I will test it
in Adobe Reader now.
