Then I want to compare that photo with other one, so I double click (in
Nautilus) on other image.
But instead of opening a new gthumb, the image is opened in the old
gthumb!

I have the same issue. Trying to check which soundcard I have, to report
the bug in Gnome as suggested, I found that I can't find it.
Neither lshw or lspic tell me anything about a soundcard (which I have

Clean install of Ubuntu Feisty Fawn, new DVD burner, a Sony DRU-830A.
It's not reading the burned DVDs, always have this line in dmesg:
cdrom: This disc doesn't have any tracks I recognize!
No change playing with drive jumpers.
