I just want to add, that when you try to shutdown the computer through your gnome's personal desktop options(both of them) it doesn't work, one must instead logout, and then shutdown from the main gnome-login screen. Obviously there are no problems if you shutdown by commands. Greetings, Felipe.

Ok, sorry I'm late. Yesterday updated to jaunty AMD64, keeping my /home directory, so the user configuration is still the same, same plugins, and so on. Messed up my xorg.conf to force the low graphics mode and the menu showed up. Now all the options involving text editing worked without
