[Bug 1316508] Re: Evolution EWS forgets default folder settings
Problem now fixed and can no longer reproduce. evolution-ews_3.12.7-1 evolution_3.12.7-0ubuntu1 Ubuntu 14.10 AMD64 Draft Messages and Sent Messages folders now stay as On This Computer rather than changing every restart, and this has been working for over a week. Note that to solve another crashing problem I deleted my folders.db, installed the debug versions of the Evolution packages and moved all the messages out of my local Sent folder - no idea if these actions affected this bug. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1316508 Title: Evolution EWS forgets default folder settings To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/1316508/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1316508] [NEW] Evolution EWS forgets default folder settings
Public bug reported: evolution 3.10.4-0ubuntu1 on Ubuntu 14.04 AMD64 (latest) evolution-ews 3.10.2-0ubuntu2 (latest) Create an EWS account and in Preferences/Mail Accounts/[Account]/Defaults attempt to set the Draft Messages folder and Sent Messages folder to be the corresponding folders in On This Computer, rather than on the Exchange server (e.g. by pressing Restore Defaults). This works fine for the remainder of your session. A grep Folder= ~/.config/evolution/sources/* will confirm the change. Now quit Evolution and restart it - the settings will immediately switch to the Drafts and Sent Items folders on your Exchange server. This can be confirmed by the above grep. I would expect the settings to be unchanged by a restart. 100% repeatable, and annoying if you prefer to keep your mail locally. ** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1316508 Title: Evolution EWS forgets default folder settings To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/1316508/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 208440] Re: Evolution stuck filtering messages - will not quit
This problem has reappeared in Intrepid. Evolution gets stuck with Filtering new message(s) (0% complete) and no more messages are filtered - it also won't quit, but is otherwise fully functional. [Bug 10669] Re: Filters are not applied to new mail on Exchange
My problem was different. About 90% of the time, the filters run on new mail as expected. Sometimes, without any reconfiguration, I start Evolution and they just don't run. I'm seeing something like this in Gutsy with the Ubuntu theme for rhythmbox notifications - the text is sometimes truncated on the right and at the bottom. [Bug 10669] Re: Filters are not applied to new mail on Exchange
This problem has just surfaced for me with the latest evolution-exchange in gutsy: 2.11.4-0ubuntu1. Until the last upgrade, all my filters have run happily on my Exchange inbox whenever mail arrives in it - one of them moves all unfiltered messages into my local inbox. Now, even though I still have 'Apply filters to new messages in Inbox on this server' checked, and haven't changed anything, none of the filters run.
