I tried 5 and 5 minutes, no dice. Perhaps it kicks in when lock screen
is _longer_ than the suspend setting. Iirc this kind of used to be the
case back in the day with xscreensaver, acpid would suspend your laptop
and then when you opened it up again you would see a screen, then when
xscreensaver

One of the variables was freed too many times. I think the only reason
that this doesn't fail in precise is because the obex browse actually
succeeds, and as a result the applet doesn't redisplay the dialog. In
any case bluetooth-applet should be fixed to handle this failure case.

Hmm after a reboot, the problem appears to have gone away. My selected
h/w profile is Analogue Stereo Output + Analogue Mono Input (which has
not changed).
There are a couple of extra odd things going on here:
1) if I change the h/w profile for the headset to Analogue Stereo

The reason that this works when invoking xrandr manually is because it's
mirroring the display. By default when you plug it in, it tries to
extend the desktop to the other monitor. I've just learned (from
Sarvatt) that virtual desktop size is restricted to 1600x1600
(configurable through

I'm seeing this in a fresh 11.10 install, and I've also seen it happen
in Fedora. It's almost as if it thinks the message has been displayed
when infact it has not. The message is also not displayed in a new
window. This is a real shame, because in virtually every way, Evolution
is the superior
It's also worth noting that not all messages are affected, and not the
most complex messages either... it seems as though messages received
after the client was running (possibly after it was installed?) are ok,
but this may be speculation.

Hi I just submitted this bug. I am trying to open a textbook which has
a login/password once you open the document. I can enter the
information but the unlock button does nothing. I don't know much
about computers and this is my second day using Ubuntu but I'm pretty
sure it's a bug and not me.
Yes, this is still an issue for me. Yes it is reproducible - I just have
to log out and log back in and it crashes shortly after the Unity

installs. I can choose PIN Options Fixed Pin '', OR enter a custom
pin, and it ONLY works ***IF*** you chose the PIN options FIRST, THEN
select the device, otherwise, if the device is selected first, it will

I have the exact same behavior on Oneiric with a thinkpad X220 running
an non-unity wm (wmii). When the lid is closed in unity, suspend works,
however in wmii acpid outputs the following:

The awk error is caused by a typo in one of the acpid scripts. I've

I can confirm the same scenario I had in the original bug report but
with the newer drivers that have since been released, this bug appears
to be fixed, so looks like it was something to do with the old ATI
proprietary driver.

The way to fix this is to enable the Multi Monitor desktop via amdccle,
and then use the gnome display manager to enable the second desktop.

I agree with Paul - it is a shame that it's taken so long to get this
fix to end users.
Don't get me wrong, I applaud the work of the open source community and

When I press delete on the keyboard with a file selected in nautilus,
the file does not move to the recycle bin as expected. Instead, nothing
happens. It should move the file to the recycle bin as it has in every
