The update to xorg-server 1.1.1-0ubuntu3 works perfect here !
Glad i'am back on my T42.
Rebooted well 10 times and the server starts fine,first I thought that my
video card was broken but I have a dual boot with dapper but that was not
possible.

Confirmed that,no Google search.
When I go to the deskbar website http://raphael.slinckx.net/deskbar ,and look by
Optional dependencies
SOAPpy package to search with google.
sudo apt-get install python-soappy,I can now search with Google.
I think this must be installed by default.

I confirm this on a fresh and up-to-date installed Herd 1.
No drives in places menu and om my desktop,also when I start my USB harddisk and
my USB stick.
When I restart dbus with /etc/init.d/dbus restart,my drives are shown up in
places menu,but my USB harddisk and stick not.When I boot the

when I lock the screen,gnome-screensaver blanks the screen for 2 seconds and

Steps to reproduce:
1. Click on the logout button at the top right of the screen.
2. Click on the lock screen button.
Expected results:
Screensaver starts itself off after 5 minutes.Password
box displayed only if mouse or keyboard used.
Results:
Screensaver does not
When I click on the Lock Screen it locks immediately,so far so good.Screen
goes to blank,then the password box and mouse pointer remains always
visible,for hours.This is not normal.
Mode on gnome-screensaver is selected to blank.
Gnome-screensaver is not working normal,my idle time is set for 5
