I've also got the same in bug 209787. I also thought it is connected to
podcasts, although wasn't sure.

Did not even import anything, just looked around, and added some comments to
one of the pictures. Exported Galleries to folder.
Then crashed during quit.

I'm not even sure what the real problem is. Is it the right policy to move the
panels to the new screen? I personally like to start the applications on my
laptop LCD screen, and pull it to the new screen (which is next to it, not
overlapping) and full screen them
8.04 beta it crashes often, but not always for me. It still falls far
from the expected behaviour :)

I upgraded to Hardy a long-long time ago. This behavior started just
recently. I don't know which log would you need to fix it. It is very
annoying.

It has something to do with the session starting after the login.
Deleting my ~/.gnome2/session file (and setting up everything again)
solved the issue. No idea why.

I think I have the same or very similar problem. When using the netbook from
battery, and it tries to switch back to energy saving mode the screen
brightness rapidly changes between thje original and energy saving levels.
