Both the colors for the current and past due tasks are defined in the
properties, but since upgrading to evolution 2.30.3 the colors are no
longer displaying on the task list. The text is bolded for all items

When I upgraded to NN (11.04) I got my colors back. I'm assuming it is
an issue in 10.10 and have moved on. Thanks for asking.
