[Bug 945399] Re: Regression: nautilus not mounting network share in ~/.gvfs

2012-03-05 Thread Lox
Yes as I can:

- mkdir ~/Mount
- /usr/lib/gvfs/gvfs-fuse-daemon ~/Mount

And I then see my shares in that ~/Mount folder. (I used ~/Mount in
case an update would bring back ~/.gvfs)

Also when browsing using nautilus, the location bar still shows smb://
(intended behaviour maybe?)

[Bug 945373] [NEW] Regression: ALT + Drag doesn't behave how it should

2012-03-02 Thread Lox
Public bug reported:

Normally in Nautilus ALT + Drag of a file shows a question mark and when
released it shows a context menu giving the choice of the action to do
(link, copy etc.)

On 12.04 beta1, pressing ALT when dragging an element in nautilus has
not the espected effect, nothing happens.

WORKAROUND:
- Drag the file
- Press ctrl+alt
- Release ctrl (keeping alt pressed)
- And voila!

[Bug 945399] [NEW] Regression: nautilus not mounting network share in ~/.gvfs

2012-03-02 Thread Lox
Public bug reported:

When accessing a network share, nautilus doesn't mount it in ~/.gvfs as
it used to.

In fact in 12.04, that ~/.gvfs is simply not there...

It is a serious issue as most app can't access network share using
smb:// like, for eg. Ecplipse.

Here we use Ubuntu on all our worksations and we have a developmment
server where every employe connect thru SMB (gvfs) to work on it. With
such a bug, Ubuntu become useless to us.

Apps running in Wine aren't able to access network shares either if not
mounted in .gvfs .

[Bug 903422] Re: Mount / Provide access to Android 4 (Ice Cream Sandwich, ICS) MTP devices

2011-12-13 Thread Lox
That isn't true that Android 4 will not support anymore usb mass-
storage protocol it is up to device maker to provide sdcard slots or
internal sdcard. In that case mass storage will be available.

But more devices do not have sdcard support or sdcard like internal
memory. So, those are only accessible using the MTP protocol which needs
to be implemented in GVFS to automatically mount in .gvfs users folders.

** Summary changed:

- Mount / Provide access to Android 4 (Ice Cream Sandwich, ICS) devices
+ Mount / Provide access to Android 4 (Ice Cream Sandwich, ICS) MTP devices

** Package changed: udev (Ubuntu) = gvfs (Ubuntu)

[Bug 893789] [NEW] gvfs fuse mount is not functional after logout and subsequent login

2011-11-22 Thread Lox

[Bug 808512] Re: No way to configure screensaver in Oneiric

2011-09-23 Thread Lox
For sure it is clearly a regression, and has nothing to do in a wish
list but in a bug list! We have lost so many configurable options with
oneiric... so many regressions

In these days where OSes like Android make their success because of
being highly customizable, the way Ubuntu is evolving is simply silly
and out of sense.

[Bug 740694] [NEW] Smb share get unmounted when seeking music track

2011-03-22 Thread Lox
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gvfs

I store my Music on a zentyal server (ubuntu) on a SMB share. I add my
music to banshee from that share. When I play a track, it plays ok. When
I want to seek foward to a point of the track, the SMB share gets
unmounted with error:

Mar 23 14:33:10 lion kernel: [ 8391.083784] gvfsd-smb[18036]: segfault
at 28 ip 00410c74 sp 7fff6c4f2310 error 4 in gvfsd-

It may be related to Banshee as Rhytmbox has not that problem, but an
application SHOULD'NT be able to unmount a samba share by, for exemple,
wrongly accessing it.

[Bug 689530] [NEW] Can't change icons GTK theme

2010-12-13 Thread Lox
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-settings-daemon

I have reinstalled my laptop because I changed my HDD for a SDD.

On first install, on first boot, I wasn't able to change icons or gtk
themes. So I thought something went wrong and decided to reinstall.

After second install everything seemed right... until I applied all
awaiting updates, then the problem came back.

The only solution I have found is running

# sudo gnome-settings-daemon

From terminal after each boot... That is tedious.

The weird thing is that has never happened before I changed my hard-
drive for a SSD...

[Bug 566416] [NEW] Pressing space bar toggle play/pause

2010-04-18 Thread Lox
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

It has been a so long time I see that bug in every Ubuntu release: I
can't type a space in the search bar because space toggles play/pause.

I simply booted the live cd, selected French and ran it. There shouldn't
be such a bug on the default music player, things like that is really
rebutting new linux users

solves it)
