[Bug 427356] Re: Boot Performance Updates

2009-09-16 Thread Luka Renko
Dust have settled, but new mountall still causes regression for
LVM+dm_crypt configuration - seems that cryptsetup was not taken into
account with this updates. See bug 430496

[Bug 255008] Re: Up arrow key mapped to Print [screen]

Still a problem here: Kubuntu Intrepid, up-to-date as of today.
Workaround with setxkbmap -model evdev -layout us helps.

[Bug 68617] Re: [Edgy] PowerManager has no more effect on brightness

2006-10-29 Thread Luka Renko
This is the issue in hal package as the following script uses /bin/sh,
but should use /bin/bash instead:

/usr/share/hal/scripts/hal-system-lcd-get-brightness

I think thic could be considred for edgy-updates as it is regression and
simple, obvious fix.

BTW, proper workaround is to change the script and not to globally
replace /bin/sh with /bin/bash (as mentioned in above comment).

[Bug 64838] Re: no battery/lid reported on ASUSTeK M6Ne

2006-10-11 Thread Luka Renko
Power-manager only present stuff reported by HAL, and lshal does not
report battery and lid. /proc/acpi has entries for battery and lid, so I
suspect kernel is presenting them to userspace, this is why I think HAL
is the prime suspect, but it can also be the kernel reporting some state
differently and breaking HAL as a side effect.

[Bug 64838] Re: no battery/lid reported on ASUSTeK M6Ne

2006-10-10 Thread Luka Renko
Yes, it looks like HAL bug, as kernel does seem to report properly in
/proc/acpi the battery and lid, but they do not get listed in HAL.
Changing package to hal.

[Bug 34775] Unable to unlock because of password incorrect

2006-03-27 Thread Luka Renko
Public bug report changed:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/34775

Task: ubuntu gnome-screensaver
 Status: Unconfirmed = Needs Info

Comment:
Can you check permissions of your /etc/shadow file? It should look like this:

-rw-r- 1 root shadow 783 2006-03-27 23:51 /etc/shadow

There was a bug in KDE UsersGroups config module - see bug 26175 - did you use
that module? If yes, it is probably duplicate.
