The upstream report basically says that this does not work and will not be
fixed since the next gtk release will replace libgnomeprint.
However, can't we at least disable the option for dapper, to avoid annoying
users by offering a feature but not implementing it.

With the latest stock Dapper kernel (2.6.15-20) I'm not seeing any hdc: lost
interrupt messages nor does my shell become unresponsive after many (3+)

package of Gaim, but they have since fixed their libao package. I don't
know if they fixed it by patching their current version or by getting a

Just to be clear what the final state should be, the System menu should
only have the Quit (power on/off) menu item, which is the same as what
is on the panel. So whether you go through the System menu or the panel
you get the same dialog and choices. Ryan, this is final for Dapper.

Filed upstream. Refined as it is likely a problem with gvfs-archive. I
set the status to confirmed before because I was told to do so in
#ubuntu+1 (before the jaunty release date) by one of the devs in the
channel, who along with another user, did indeed confirm the bug. I

after playing a bit around I found a solution:
- start ubuntu in recovery mode (press esc at startup and choose from menu)
-scroll all the way down and choose fix graphic problems

I am also a victim of this error. Since I did a fresh install of 8.10
but retained my old /home, I ended up deleting a ton of ev files as well
as the cmeta,index and index.data files. This allowed me to delete the
trash successfully. Hopefully this will be fixed in the near future.

Clarification: in Intrepid, the gconf entry apps/gnome-
terminal/profiles/*/cursor_blink_mode exists and works, but the
preference control is still missing from the edit profile preferences
dialog. It took me ages to find that, though.

When clicking the one of the 3 app launcher buttons (web browser, mail,

Unfortunately, despite having set ulimit -c unlimited and running the
program from the cli and seeing core dumped, I cannot find the crash
or core file anywhere. Any help on how to find it would be appreciated.
It is not in /var/crash nor in the current working directory.

Evolution crashed when trying to use mapi extension
If you want to use the notify-osd system, don't use Awn Notification
Daemon. A-N-D is essentially a stock version of notification-daemon,
with a theme engine customization. No notify-osd support exists in the
Awn applet.
I suppose having a Provides in the package is reasonable, but it seems
that
