I was looking for google calendar + evolution related bugs and ran into
this report.
I can say for myself, this bug is invalid.
I just installed a clean Ubuntu 9.04 system and set up evolution with my
google calendar and checked to store password. The password is not
forgotten between restarts.

new users.
Take me (and probably the orginal reporter Mårten aswell) as an example:
We are Swedish people but we prefer the US english install, so we choose
english language during install.
However we tell the setup tool
I hit this crash aswell trying to extract a shady zip file.
Using 7z e filename on the commandline worked to extract the file.
I believe the issue lies in special characters used in the filename.

How come this is a low importance bug?
A patch has been availaible for several releases, comparable functionality is
available in KDE, Windows and Mac OS.
It is simply a feature that users expect to be there, and a must have
functionality for new Gnome users.

I opened a zip file downloaded from a torrent site. The content is
listed above. I guessed the error was caused of the strange filenames
(ending space before the extension, strange characters in filename etc).

Hello. I made a little test case.
I took the evil zip file, opened with WinRAR in windows and deleted the
copyrighted file.
Attached is a 40k zip file without any (i hope) illegal content which
still crashes file-roller on my system.
Hope that helps in resolving this issue.

Pedro: yes the issue still exists.
I just tested with the Gnome Disk Utility found in Maverick, see
attached screenshot.
The screenshot shows me giving the swap partition a name on the command
line and then checking the result in Gnome Disk Utility.

Instead of using LABEL=xx, specify disk with /dev/disk/by-label/xx
For UUID=xx it is /dev/disk/by-uuid/xx

Now i try to make a partition on it using gnome-disk-utility.
No matter of what type of filesystem i try to create, i get the
