The issue in Natty is fixed. In Natty Evince 2.32.0 is able to open up a .dvi with a .eps figure and it works. In Maverick Evince 2.32.0 crashes. In Lucid with Evince 2.30.3 the .dvi opens up with no .eps figure present, and no bounding box on where the image should be.
I tested the .eps in .dvi problem on two seperate computers with Natty installed ( laptop and desktop ). Both have 64 bit Natty installed. I have not tested Natty 32bit.
