Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
Compiz worked OOTB during and after the install.
After I disabled it in gnome-appearance-properties, I can't turn it back on.
It does work when running it via the terminal, though:
$ compiz
Checking for Xgl: not present.

Hm... I'm sorry, I can't reproduce the error message when rebooting with
metacity set as default wm.

I do not notice any issues with Evolustion but my ~/.xsession-errors
gets flooded with the report's title error message (see attachment).
Is there anything I can do about it?

(evolution:7983):
Thanks for the hint with ~/.xsession-errors
The problem was, it was flooded with messages from evolution and rhythmbox, so
I rebooted and here's the error message:
(gnome-appearance-properties:8841): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_array_free: assertion
`array' failed
Attempted to unregister path (path[0]
I just tried but I can't do a backtrace, because Evolution doesn't crash
here (duh).
Please let me know if I can add any other useful information.

No, it does not suggest you to install the driver, it does this automatically.
And you do not get any information that it does this in the first place. All

gnome-appearance-properties shouldn't
It seems like this only affects English (UK) locale.
When switching from German to English (US) the update works fine.
The issue is definitely reproduceable when switching from German to
English (UK).
