I installed 4.16.17 kernel and ubuntu-proposed and I can still reproduce it consistently but now Xwayland crashes rather than gnome-shell. (Or at least that's what I gather from /var/crash) But this might just be https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg- server/+bug/1731911 ? All I need to

Upgraded mesa and wayland with X-Updates PPA (https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat/+archive/ubuntu/updates) and problem is still present, and now gnome-shell made a crash again. Posted it with apport but now sure how follow up on it (OOPS ID 7f6749c4-77e0-11e8-8b56-fa163e839e11) -- You received
