For Xubuntu, there are two possibilities that I can think of.
First try the menu ApplicationsSettingsAutostarted Applications.

sorry, I forgot
I want the floppy device to behave in a similar fashion like the usb
devices when plugged in - in other words be able to save to floppy the
MBR and the PBR's of my partitions using the dd command or, conversly,
restore from floppy same.

Arguing over whether it's a bug or not is unhelpful. What we can
presumably agree on is that at present, baobab gives totals that are
manifestly wrong, because of what is admittedly a rather uncommon use
case. If this is a feature request, it's a feature that must be added
for baobab to behave

installing msttcorefonts and it

When it works on your system, are you able to identify the font used? I'm
pretty sure that on
my system Nimbus Mono L regular would be the right choice. It's just

way to figure out which actual font is being used to represent
Courier. Specifically, which file is being read for its font

Evince works correctly on Intrepid Ibex. FWIW, Feisty Fawn exhibits
similar behavior. FF seems to use the same font as my version of Hardy
Heron, but it's not oblique. (That is, it looks like a heavier non-
oblique version of Nimbus Mono L.)
fc-match courier on Intrepid Ibex also gives Nimbus
I burned a Hardy Heron CD and booted it. The problem is still
present, which shows that there's nothing special about my installation.
(For the record, I used this image: ubuntu-8.04.2-desktop-i386.iso.)
This problem must be widespread or universal among Hardy Heron users.

It's not clear to me that bug #131523 is a duplicate. The symptoms are
different. What Stephan Klein describes is the same bug as this one,

Fontconfig is the culprit. Evince calls Popper which calls FcFontSort
in libfontconfig to find the font most similar to Courier. The first
font it gets is Nimbus Mono L, Bold Oblique. The right font is
actually the next one, Nimbus Mono L, Regular.

Having just fallen foul of this myself, I thought it worth noting that
the keyring password prompt on Intrepid specifically asks for the
*login* password. This is very confusing because what it actually wants
is the keyring password, which won't be the same once the user has
changed their login
I can confirm this for Jaunty too.

Compiz is activated.
This is not nice.

I have this this problem with the Save As dialogue box with jaunty, and
also had it with intrepid.
It occurs on many programs, including gedit, firefox, and openoffice.
I do not have tracker installed.

I think those users need to learn how to use a search engine or

I'm running latest Maverick release with all the updated packages up to date. I
upgraded from 10.04 LTS.
After upgrade the button that should save currently running applications indeed
fails to save them. And I'm not talking about one application. The description
of the problem is accurate.

Ok, I tried to delete the session folder ~/.config/gnome-session and
start fresh.
After reboot and saving the applications again, the folder gets created
and the files are saved.

How can you downgrade the library (as desertrat1033 proposed)? In
Synaptic the Force Version option is gray for me. I think i might need
to add some old repositories or? The problem is that i cant wait to much
for bug fixed version.

It crashes with every PDF I have tried. This makes xpdf unusable.

I solved this with a small workaround. I found the following: i simply
created a symbolic link for the directory in which i want to copy. After
that using the symbolic link i was able to copy files larger
601 - 700 of 1644 matches
