Still waiting to hear if 'jammy' will be getting this fix. Certainly not
in 'proposed-updates'.

[Bug 1019738] Re: FileZilla regularly freezes while downloading to an SMB share

2023-12-05 Thread Phil Wyett
I have tested this and because of age will mark it as fixed.

Test machine(s):

* Remote in London.
* Ubuntu 22.04 laptop running filezilla.
* Debian unstable VM server running samba.

Connecting to remote and downloading files to samba server at:

/run/user/1000/gvfs/

All was well and no speed issues.

[Bug 2044420] Re: gtkpod segfaults when attempting to display songs

2023-11-23 Thread Phil Wyett
This is likely to see little attention for the following reasons:

* Not maintained/No viable upstream.
* Remove Request (RM) is active in Debian. [1]

This package is likely to be soon removed and I would advise looking for
an alternative to it.

[Bug 2037907] Re: No package 'nss' found

2023-10-01 Thread Phil Wyett
You are trying to build an upstream release tarball, this is not
supported. You can have many other non distro supplied packages
installed. How can anyone tell, thus unsupported.

When reporting bugs on Ubuntu, be sure to specify the version you are
working on. Be verbose but concise.

You state distro as Debian 11 (bullseye), so you need to be making bug
reports on the Debian bug tracker.

Note: You are trying to build out of distro upstream packages that are
not supported by Debian. This is not supported.

While I respect any valid input. All you are doing currently is spamming

Public bug reported:

file will not extract. If you then attempt it again, it will extract.

[Bug 1239290] [NEW] Evolution: Font colour on active buttons for 'Mail', 'Contacts' 'Calendar', Tasks' and 'Memos' is white and hard to read easily

2013-10-13 Thread Phil Wyett
Public bug reported:

Evolution: Font colour on active buttons for 'Mail', 'Contacts'
'Calendar', Tasks' and 'Memos' is white and hard to read easily.

This falls under a design issue and a problem that for those who wish to
make the app as easy to read for those with minor or more advanced
accessibility issues. The font is white on active buttons and I believe
would be far better and more readable in black against the grey gradient
background within the default themeing.

[Bug 1218351] Re: ubuntu gnome - gedit - 80 char line end marker hardly visible

2013-08-29 Thread Phil Wyett
This is no longer a constant virtical line which was good, but a single
line marker. The old way was better. I class this as a regression.

that is larger than the designated 80 chars.
