Binary package hint: empathy
to close a conversation we have to use ctrl + w, when the most
comunicators use the esc i changed the configuration on the file
empathy-chat-window.ui, other way to do that or keep it simple ?
ubuntu 10.10 and i get this on ubuntu 10.04 too

i have the same problem but in my case only affect msn doesn't connect

why not to configure to close window chat just hiting the esc key and
not the combination of ctrl + w
