Martin, my plan was to fix the issues that that patch tries to solve in
g-c-c 3.2.1 and then completely remove this patch from the package. I

The design for the theme selection explicitly limited the selection to
the 4 themes we show, so I guess we don't want the 'custom' thing you
mention, but at least I've fixed the patch in our package to not change
the icon theme unless the user really selects one from the combo box.
