I believe this occurred in xnest previously. I used to start the flexiserver as gdmflexiserver --xnest -screen 800x600. But it certainly occurs in xephyr. I removed xnest after learning that it was quite old and xephyr was the newer variant. I still see the problem right now. dpkg -l xnest
