missing, I do get a lot of errors while trying to run gedit from gnome-

I used places connect to server to connect to an sftp (SSH) connection.
The first time it connected fine, but then all of the sudden it stopped
responding, I closed nautilus then.
Now I can't unmount it. After

OK, I haven't rebooted yet, nor logged out, I don't know if it matters.
I erased my passwords from seahorse (password and encryption keys), to see if
it's related to that.

I'm just speculating where the source of the problem is: In firefox
there is a feature to make it a default browser, it's in menu edit
preferences advanced general - If you hit the check now button,
maybe it links firefox with these url handlers

I fiddled around some more with ftp and sftp on the remote server I have
access. It seems that the problems appear as soon as you mouse right
click unmount the remote location on the nautilus side pane

I'm using the sftp protocol. When you connect to a server using the
'connect to server' or nautilus (ctrl-l and put
sftp://[EMAIL PROTECTED]), it adds a link in the side pane of nautilus,
right below the Network Servers. But as nocrack commented, it could be
possible that some other protocols are

- I used places connect to server to connect to an sftp (SSH)
Let me explain once more what happens:
Add the clock applet to a gnome panel, right click on the applet - adjust date
time - (opens time settings window) - set system time - Asks for
password - the time settings window shuts down.
The time-admin doesn't open. The whole point of set system time
..unless the set system time does something else I'm not aware of?
In that case, there should be a confirmation window about it, that everything
was ok and that it did what it had to do.

Also, it doesn't say how it sets the time (what actual change it does to
the system, at what time the system time was set and at which time zone)
and if the changes were successful.

The ftp
It's really not my fault the backends do not provide a log about what's going
on in the background. Or at least something readable I could upload :(
I would make it smaller, but just look at the 3 different errors and the 2
cases of the resulting window. I thought to better provide as much info
I mean compare:
nautilus ftp://eclipse.sh3lls.net/
and
ftp eclipse.sh3lls.net
nautilus pops up an error, ftp doesn't.

No no, it requires ftp login and password, I just gave an example of a server
that uses pure-ftpd.
