UPDATE.
This bug lead to a worse thing.
Programs like firefox 3 beta 3 or gnome-screenshot take Desktop as
preferred folder for saving instead of Scrivania.
So if I go to Place-Scrivania it opens Scrivania and I can't find
downloaded files.

About desktop location, maybe I explain it wrong.
I don't want to specify a different directory.
Just after installing Hardy, I installed Italian language removing
English one.
After rebooting came up a window asking for automatic folder name
switching
This bug is quite serious, because it implies a bad inconsistency in
folder names.
I have a Scrivania folder (italian name for Desktop) but Risorse
(Places)-Scrivania (Desktop) point to Desktop folder, not to
Scrivania ones.

I tried with Hardy Alpha 4 and it is even worse.
Now double clicking on floppy icon in Places-Computer does nothing.
I mean no activity in floppy drive, absolutely nothing, and there is'nt
mount option in right click menu.

Ok, I think that Maurizio and I probably found out where the bug is.
1) emblems translated strings are in gnome-icon-theme.
2) with human-icon-theme these strings remain untranslated.
3) installing tango-icon-theme, strings are correctly translated indipendently
from which set of icons is

human-icon-theme package is not set up for translation of its icons.
gnome-icon-theme instead is internally structured to be translated.

I think that the Importance shouldn't be related just to the number of
Duplicated Bug but also (and probably more important) to Usability and
coherence of the system itself.
I know a lot of people using Ubuntu (newbies) that have this problem, really
annoying for them,

mmhh.. I think this bug should be considered at least as a High importance
because of its high impact on configuring mobile broadband access.
Generally people doesn't know what is their country code (since the name of
the country is not showed).
About 85/90 % of country names are
