Maybe its owner could help.

Hardy was released with this bug!
As mentioned above, it's unbelievable that a LTS release admits as default a
program that won't connect even with the previous Ubuntu version.
That one can install another program later is not an excuse. Remember it's a
default app, and as such people will
Actually, that also happens with metacity in Feisty, so it maybe

This bug is pretty annoying.
A very acessible way to reproduce it without using fancy wizards or test
programs is to just use xsane.
Every ever scan I have to move the mouse out of the button then in again. It's
very annoying and because of that I often have to use the keyboard to scan

Public bug reported:
The print dialog, such as those used by evince and gthumb, doesn't recognize
advanced printer settings set in CUPS.
Such as it is, if one printer is set to use Grayscale in the printout mode in
CUPS, gnomeprint doesn't respect this setting and sets it to print in color,

GThumb and Eye of Gnome somehow manages to blur all images sent to the printer.
This is normally not noticeable with photos (except for an artist or someone

I've tried all of them.
By the way, the printer is an HP PSC-1315.
I think the problem may be (but I'm not sure) in the way gThumb (and eog) opens
the files. I've noticed that if I zoom in, the image already gets the blur
effect on-screen. That happens with normal pictures and SVGs alike, so I
Attached is the screenshot of Inkscape, showing the original image. I
don't print using inkscape because its printing services are terrible.

awful
The fact is that gThumb also does that for raster images. Like I said above,
it's only noticeable in images where sharpness matters, like scanned text.
Attached goes a side-by-side comparison of the same image in gThumb and GIMP,
now with scanned text.
** Attachment added:
Yes, I have it enabled.
Actually, disabling it made it as it should be, and EOG also has an option to
do that.
It appears it is a feature, not a bug after all, though it does affect printing
quality. So, probably it is a bug only for that specific type of image.
I'm attaching the sample I use.
