Well, I can, but I am preparing my PC to make a demonstration in my school, and I wont like to lose my Compiz configuration. The gnome system monitor is the only window without borders, at least, normal ones, do you want a print screen? Thanks revoltism: my Ubuntu is using a french localization, with a folder called Téléchargement instead of Download. I restarted my computer 3 time.I launched FF and the top command. The home page of FF is https://www.bing.com/?cc=be. I opened a second tab with maps.google.com. Everything was find. I lauched system monitor and then, the CPU of one core jumped to 100 %, even after closing the maps.google.com tab (see screenshot). When I'm in system monitor, the tab Ressources take 100 % of 1 CPU. If I switch to the tab Processes and change the ordering of the list, it goes down. When I come back to the Ressources tab, it reaches again the top. I have an update on this issue on Hardy. Although no error message was given, there is some misbehaviour that can be related to this bug. When I move the slider forward and backward while the file is being played, at some point the sound output is stopped, slider usually jumps to the beginning of the file (once it was at 18 sec from the beginning), the controls shows that it is still playing. It is not possible to resume the playback from the totem controls in any way I tried, the only way is to re-open the file. When trying to move the slider at this state, it always jumps back to the freeze point. I've tested about 10 files, same behaviour occured in all of them, except one. After reinstalling empathy, `sudo glib-compile-schemas /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas1` finishes successfully and gcalctool no longer crashes on startup. In fact, the application that is used in Ubuntu is called unity- control-center although it is ~95% identical to gnome-control-center. [Bug 1694076] [NEW] No error message on firmware update fail
Public bug reported: While on battery, i tried to install bios firmware from Ubuntu Software. Clicking "install" in the update tab grayed it out for a second, and then restored back to being clickable. I tried it several times without any failure notifications, but it was clearly not doing anything. Rebooting several times also didn't help. Finally, in the system log, I noticed this error, explaining the issue. This error should have been shown to me in UI, without the need to go into the logs.
