[Bug 792074] Re: displays an almost blank page
It happened very suddenly, it was working fine before today. Now Evince is opening only the pdf and I have to stretch it and play with it to see my documents. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to poppler in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/792074 Title: displays an almost blank page To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/poppler/+bug/792074/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 722821] [NEW] Attaches wrong files for uploads
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Released April 2010. I was told this is a bug, by serveral people. When I try to upload a file, I click on the file name, and expect it to attach the file whose name I clicked on. Instead it tries to attach other things. My usual procedure for attaching a file, which might be weird, but I've done this in several versions of Ubuntu, is in a terminal, $ ls thefilename, and then type a random letter in the File Selection Dialogue, so that it opens a window, then paste the filename, click the home key, and delete the random letter. Then I click on the name of the file, and it attaches. The problem is that since my upgrade/new hard drive to Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid, about 45 days ago, after I delete the random letter, the line highlighted is not the correct filename, but usually one above it, in the same directory. Then if I click the correct name, it's attaching something totally different, most frequently 'xchat.conf' - but not always. Sometimes it attaches another file or, at times, even the correct file. I can't figure out which variable yields which result. Everything I have tried seems random. It does this with .txt and .doc and other formats, not picking the same file OR format to attach. I wish I could attach a screenshot of Yahoo Mail on Opera, where it attached: 1 file which I intended to send, and four copies of 'xchat.conf', instead of the four .txt files I needed to send. When I tried to file this bug report, in Opera, it attached xchat.conf. I had to cancel the bug report to remove it. I'll add this, it may be related, or a separate bug: When I want to 'save as' a picture mailed to me: 'test.jpg', opened in Image Viewer, frequently it won't open the dialogue. I'll click File Save As - and nothing happens at all, no dialouge opens. ~$ apt-cache policy nautilus nautilus: Installed: 1:2.30.1-0ubuntu1.1 Candidate: 1:2.30.1-0ubuntu1.1 Version table: *** 1:2.30.1-0ubuntu1.1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid-updates/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 1:2.30.0-0ubuntu4 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid/main Packages Image Viewer in: Eye of GNOME 2.30.0 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 Package: nautilus 1:2.30.1-0ubuntu1.1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-28.55-generic 2.6.32.27+drm33.12 Uname: Linux 2.6.32-28-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: fglrx Architecture: amd64 Date: Mon Feb 21 16:02:29 2011 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS Lucid Lynx - Release amd64 (20100816.1) ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.utf8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: nautilus ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug lucid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/722821 Title: Attaches wrong files for uploads -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
