Odd...

I've tried this on 3 machines, and none report the behavior you
describe.

[Bug 227270] Re: file-roller sets parent directory rights to 700

2008-05-06 Thread ffm
How are you viewing what the rights of the remote directory are?

This doesn't seem to be a file-roller bug, but a GNOME nautilus bug
(remote dirs are always read as 700), as when I checked file permissions
via SSH and ls -la I did not see this bug, bug I did see it in the
nautilus interface, which incorrectly reported the permissions.

Does this occur with a spesifc archive, and can you test via console ssh
that the issue still occurs and is not a file permission display bug?

try renaming the fspot dir and see if you can reproduce the issue?

VNC is designed to work this way, to implement otherwise would require a
bit of work. Please propose that as a spec or blueprint, or as an idea
on Ubuntu Brainstorm if you think this functionality should be added .

Just change the remote desktop's screen resolution.

[Bug 222525] [NEW] Cannot modify removable media mountpoint when unmounted

2008-04-26 Thread ffm
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

If you spesify an invalid mount point for removable media in nautilus
while the media is mounted (say /media/foo instead of foo), unmount

Also, you can't fix the error becasue the device mount properties window
is no longer visible from the file properties menu.
