Firefox 3.0 nightly build windows (Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-
US; rv:1.9b3pre) Gecko/2008020104 Minefield/3.0b3pre) always get the
focus and come on the foreground. I got used to the previous
erroneous(?) behaviour and wish I could somehow select either behaviour.

Binary package hint: gnome-panel
I got a two gnome-panels, one north and one west.
One of the applications that are started via 'Startup Applications' is
displayed in the top left corner, under the area that is used by these
panels. So its title bar and buttons as well as

requested. And bingo: chrome sits under the gnome-panels as visible in
the attached screenshot.
