[Bug 1154844] Re: no puedo instalar programas

2013-03-14 Thread kroq-gar78
You seem to be using a version of Ubuntu that is no longer supported.
Please see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/EOLUpgrades (more
specifically https://help.ubuntu.com/community/EOLUpgrades/Jaunty) to
upgrade to a newer release. However, it seems you may need to manually
install Ubuntu 10.04 or use the alternate CD of 9.10 (see the second
link for why).

Marking as invalid.

Re: [Bug 903422] Re: Ubuntu does not work with Samsung Galaxy phones ( Unable to open raw device 0)

2013-02-26 Thread kroq-gar78
Well, if it's going to happen, an SRU has to be filled out, and it will
have to meet the criteria for that. Now, whether this qualifies or not, I'm
not sure, but I'm sure something useful will be on the Ubuntu wiki about
that.

Sincerely,

[Bug 1007494] Re: Please merge new metacity version (2.34.3) from Debian unstable - Ubuntu version still uses gconf :(

2012-06-01 Thread kroq-gar78
To get this into Precise would be hard, as it's already been released
and would require and SRU. Also, I don't think that it would get into
Precise since it's a new version of metacity.

** Description changed:

Metacity window manager in Ubuntu 12.10 and 12.04 (Precise) is outdated
and still uses gconf, while latest 2 upstream versions (2.34.2 and
2.34.3) already are converted to gsettings. Currently Ubuntu users, who
prefer classic gnome (with panel) can't change window button layout and
other window manager settings with usual tools, like dconf-editor or
  gnome-tweak-tool (gnome-tweak-tool was adapted to Metacity/Mutter ported
to GSettings since 3.3.4, which is currently in Ubuntu 12.04)

New Metacity version (2.34.3) is already in Debian unstable, please
merge and improve live of Ubuntu users, who prefer classic Gnome
  appearance :)

[Bug 1005302] Re: Add option to do nothing

2012-05-28 Thread kroq-gar78
There is this option in 12.04 - the latest stable release (and therefore
is likely in the development release) - so I'm not sure if I should mark
this bug as invalid or not. 10.04 is already released, so it'll be
(very) hard to get in a new feature (even though this is a small one,
yes).

grey. It's always selectable though (except when it's in it's original size)

Icon Resize on desktop - Restore Size is greyed out

Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:

  Confirmed

Bug description:

  In 12.04:

If you put an icon on the desktop (In Gnome Fallback mode) you can
right click and select resize icon.

  This works fine.

However, once you again click on the now-resized icon, the text that

says Restore Icon's Original Size is greyed out - implying that it's

not selectable, when, in reality, it is.

The option should be greyed out when it hasn't been resized or is the

original size, but it shouldn't be greyed out after the size has been

  changed.

I think you have to disable Compiz (somehow...) to do this, but I still
think that it shouldn't be this way.

[Bug 988169] Re: Icon Resize on desktop - Restore Size is unselectable

2012-04-25 Thread kroq-gar78
You can restore the original size. It's just greyed out - not
unselectable. I can select it perfectly fine. I'll change the bug to say
so.

** Summary changed:

- Icon Resize on desktop - Restore Size is unselectable
+ Icon Resize on desktop - Restore Size is greyed out

** Description changed:

  In 12.04:

If you put an icon on the desktop (In Gnome Fallback mode) you can right
click and select resize icon.
  This works fine.

However, once you again click on the now-resized icon, the text that
- says Restore Icon's Original Size is not selectable.
-
- You have to manually resize it by eye, and that may not be perfect.
+ says Restore Icon's Original Size is greyed out - implying that it's
+ not selectable, when, in reality, it is.

Also, opening the desktop folder in a window, gives no options about
resizing - Similar to bug #402642

Also, the bug #402642 reference is a completely different bug. I'll

Also, it looks like a good bunch (majority?) of the translations have to

translations plural)

[Bug 939242] [NEW] gnome-control-center takes 100% CPU

2012-02-22 Thread kroq-gar78
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 12.04 Alpha 2
unity 5.4.0
gnome-control-center 1:3.3.90-0ubuntu1

When I have the GNOME Control Center open, I have soaring CPU usage by
it - constantly at 100% according to top, and my computer's fan runs
wild when it's open. I'm not sure why, but I would assume that, if idle,
it should not do anything and have near 0% CPU usage.

Steps to reproduce:

1) Open Appearance settings
2) Open a terminal
3) run 'top' and see if gnome-control-center is taking tons of CPU

ProblemType: Bug

[Bug 885947] [NEW] Location of Left-handed and Right-handed are switched, logically

2011-11-03 Thread kroq-gar78
Public bug reported:

Using Ubuntu 11.10

On the control panel where the Mouse and Touchpad settings are, the
Right-handed option is on the left side of the Left-handed option,
which is on the right of the Right-handed option. This seems slightly
strange in my opinion, as one would think that the left-handed option is
on the left side, opposed to where it currently is.

[Bug 431073] Re: spacebar in nautilus should not open a file

2011-10-23 Thread kroq-gar78
GNOME Sushi provides a preview of the file when spacebar is pressed, not
opening the file entirely, but Sushi has to be manually installed - it's
not there by default.

[Bug 876142] Re: .pptx and .docx are by default opened by Archive Manager

2011-10-17 Thread kroq-gar78
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 873470 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/873470

** Description changed:

  Using Ubuntu 11.10,
  nautilus 1:3.2.0-0ubuntu5

.pptx and .docx are by default set to open with Archive Manager. If a
file is downloaded and directly opened, this can cause confusion for
some. This occurred after the upgrade to Ubuntu 11.10 and was not the
case before the upgrade. This is a major inconvenience for me and - I'm
sure - many others, though it is easy to manually fix by right clicking
on the file, going to properties - open with - click the radio button
for LibreOffice - set as default (near the bottom-left of the window).

Office 2007+ files are being opened by Archive Manager by default as
opposed to being opened by LibreOffice, which one would expect.

- P.S. I would like to actually solve my first bug report, so some
- guidance would be appreciated if it's an easy fix ;)
