Sometimes, especially when switching between the workspaces, the panel crashes.
Would be no problem at all, because it is restarting without a clue.
But after this restart some systray-icons don't reappear in the
notification-area.

I'm also affected with Gentoo (and Ubuntu on the same machine) since a
long time with mdadm-raid setups.
The description should be changed according that raid systems are
affected.

This Bug isn't solved. My bad! But it belongs to gnome-settings-daemon
also or only.
If I deactivate the
/usr/lib/gnome-settings-daemon/gnome-settings-daemon
entry in sessions the keyboard is doing right, but then the lookfeel is
destroyed.

I thinks it is really related gnome-settings-daemon.
There are some more people affected.

For me the solution was:
$ rm .gconf/desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/
and relogin.
After this it's running as expected.
