Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evince Using hardy, all updated. Some suppliers send me invoices in PDF form. They always opened ok in Acrobat on Vista. Evince on Hardy seems to be struggling. Public bug reported: I don't know whether this is cups or libgnomeprint but I'd be willing to guess the latter. I found this bug in both epiphany-browser and firefox 3b5 which seem to use the same print dialog. Gedit which uses the same dialog isn't affected. Steps to reproduce: 1. Choose page setup 2. Choose landscape 3. Now print to any printer (including PDF) 4. Page prints in portrait but with landscape formatting.and truncated output. Attached PDF print from firefox shows problem. I am using Thunar. If I copy a folder from my PC onto a mounted samba share the folder is created but the first file will error out with a Permission Denied. Clicking retry copies the failed filed and rest of the files fine. This bug also effects the geany editor when saving over cifs. 1. Open a file and modify it 2. Save it 3. Modify it some more 4. Save 5. BAM! File has been modified dialog. Usually the time difference between local and remote is 1 second. My cifs server is Ubuntu 10.04 and my client machine is 10.10. Anyone know of a workaround? update: Solved my own problem. Simply changing the fstab entry from type cifs to smbfs fixed the problem for me. Begin typing 5. Find that my text is appearing to the bottom right of the box. 6. Waves of rage as you take hands off the keyboard, move the mouse and click in filename box. 7. Then just set your default file manager to pcmanfm in the Settings Manager - Preferred Applications.
