Public bug reported:
1. The release of Ubuntu is Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS
2. The package version is 1:3.26.4-0
3. I expected to ask if I want to replace the image or not.
4. What happened is that the app crashed.
ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 18.04
Package: nautilus 1:3.26.4-0~ubuntu18.04.4
I have just enabled proposed and upgraded to gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock
(63ubuntu1.18.10.2).
The issue seems to be solved, but I believe it will need more time for testing.
I cannot believe such a high-severity bug has been around since early
May, 2018, on both 18.04 LTS and 18.10. Shame
I changed it to 0 as well, fingers crossed.

Guys, any updates about when this problem is getting solved? If the
