This behavior is explicitly by design. We must talk with developers to

[Bug 507668] Re: Evolution preferences not displaying correctly

2010-05-15 Thread Alexander Usyskin
Have had the same bug with DarkRoom theme, but at the end it was a theme issue.
For the reference, offending line in the DarkRoom file is:
...
widget_class "*Mail*" style "murrine-panel"
...

This line overwrites every widget with "Mail" in name, the evolution mail
configuration too...

BTW, I've downloaded New Wave 0.8.2 from here:
http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/New+Wave?content=87134
to check this bug and it was ok for me.
According to changelog "- Fixed long standing issue with Evolution's
preferences wrong colors."

Can the original bug reporter recheck with this new theme version and
close bug as invalid if it works for him?

If I understand this correctly, this is the same issue as upstream bug
#594153 "setting alarms on meetings owned by others is prevented".

There is patch attached to that bug. AFAIK the upstream will not update
2.28, they moved to 2.30. May be Ubuntu will be willing to apply that
patch to it's own packages?
