[Bug 1492481] [NEW] Feature request bug - show files behavior
Public bug reported: I don't see a reason that the main application should stay open after "show files" is clicked. Wouldn't a more intuitive behavior be to close the archive browser when you choose to show files? I'm not complaining, and it's certainly not a deal-breaker for using file-roller, but it does seem like a needless window after a particular option is clicked unless there is a delete archive option after you click through to browse contents. ** Affects: file-roller (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to file-roller in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1492481 Title: Feature request bug - show files behavior To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/file-roller/+bug/1492481/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 319856] [NEW] time in evolution (calendar) doesn't match system setting (same locales)
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution What I expected to Happen: Time displayed in evolution calendar (as indicated by the Marcus Bains line) should match system time (as displayed on the panel clock, date command, etc). What happens instead: the time evolution uses internally doesn't match the system clock settings (out by one hour). Both the system locale and the evolution locale are Australia/Perth. I think that it is related to the timezone data, as there is no option to apply daylight savings corrections for Australia/Perth in evolution (we currently are in daylight savings time). Appointments are displayed at the right time, but notifications are an hour late due to the lag between evolution's time and the system time. (evolution thinks that we are UTC+8. I think this is still a bug, not Wishlist. [Bug 235495] Re: unmounted volumes still show in nautilus tree
Hi, I am also experiencing this bug. Some further experimentation reveals that the places menu still shows the disk after unmounting (but not unplugging) - when unplugged the disk is removed from the places menu. So probably this is only a nautilus issue. Also very occasionally the correct behaviour is observed (disk removed from tree after being unmounted). I didn't experience this problem with Gutsy - if that helps. [Bug 55999] Re: Can't type in password if LDAP address book isn't default in Select Conteact from Address Book
(status change overwrote my previous comment) This problem is definitely present in Gutsy, evolution 2.12.1-0ubuntu1 Steps to reproduce 1. Under Edit-Preferences-Autocompletion, make sure remote address book is not selected (LDAP/exchange GAL) 2. start new email, bring up the select contacts from address book dialog by clicking on To: or Cc: 3. select the address book from step 1 (ie not an autocompletion one). Problem occurs here. Password dialog is displayed for the remote address book, however the select contacts dialog keeps focus under *all* circumstances - even if window manager shows the dialog as having focus). This makes entering the password impossible - any password typed appears in the Search field of the select contacts dialog. workaround: close the select contacts dialog (not the password dialog). now enter the password for the remote address book in the password dialog and select ok. bring up the select contacts dialog again by clicking on To: or Cc:, it is now possible to select addresses from the remote address book. possible fix: the select contacts dialog should lose focus if a password dialog is displayed. -- Can't type in password if LDAP address book isn't default in Select Conteact from Address Book https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/55999 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
