Using Gutsy, 7.10, the source package is GDM.
Using the tab key, I can cycle between options such as Logout, Lock
screen, Switch User, etc I can select them by pressing enter once
they are selected.
I cannot select them by using the keyboard shortcuts (O for Lock
I can reproduce this running a french desktop, but not an english one,
running an up-to-date Dapper.

I can drag and drop a foler into other multimedia applications like
totem, and all the files in that folder get added to the application's
playlist,
I experienced this issue. It is now fixed. However, I can only play one track
at a time and then playback stops. Despite all tracks (or a few) being
selected for ripping, playback only works for one song.
If this is the default application for an audio cd, it is annoying to have to
click

Ideally, there should be two different messages for either the user's home
drive permissions, or the .dmrc file permissions.
For Dapper, can that message be changed to
Either your home directory or the .dmrc file (a hidden file) in it is set to
be writable by other users. This is insecure.
If someone choses to make their home folder writable to another user, shouldn't
there be a way to dissable this warning?
Should the warning be a little bit more verbose, too? It kills two birds with
one stone and leads one to beleive that the system is broken.

The Pictures folder screensaver is also undocumented. How are we to
know what it does and where to put our pictures?

When I try to close the Layers dialog, I get prompted:

This window has 7 tabs open. Closing the window will also close all its

the .gimp folder in my home drive. That didn't help.

I changed the permissions of my home directory so that groups could not have
write access and the problem went away.
Possibly, my young kids may have clicked around and changed the permissions of
folders. The error message is however cryptic and not intuitive.
User's $HOME directory must be
I get this:
User's $HOME /.dmrc file is being ignored. This prevents the default session
and language from being saved. Fle should be owned by user and have 644
permissions. User's $HOME directory must be owned by user and not writable by
other users
I tried installing childsplay and gcompris
Running flight 6, I just started getting this. I think the last few things I
did was to install childsplay and gcompris. I also set up gdm to autologin my
user at boot.
