14.04 shocked to see this bug. Without the compact mode empathy is
almost unuseable for me. :(

Does this bug have some thing to do with wine/cross-office? I use M$
Outlook heavily 9.04 and see this problem every now and then. Will try

Using X300 started having problem since 2.6.27-11 on intrpid. Upgrade to
jaunty running 2.6.27-14 and still facing the same issue. Its a show
stopper. Any thing we can do?

Binary package hint: gnome-panel
Switching from 3D desktop distorts the workspace switch applet. For
exapmle at the moment my applet is showing a thin vertical bar divided
into four desktops.
