2009-01-27 Thread Bengt Olsson
Can confirm ilpssun's behavior. Get exactly the same behavior and also the same
printout. Running
Version: 2.24.3-0ubuntu1
from the proposed repos. Also running evolution-exchange.

Run it for two days now, problem resolved, seems to be working fine, and
no regressions I'm aware of.

[Bug 217151] Re: Epiphany prints blank pages

2008-06-29 Thread Bengt Olsson
Nice fault correlation Stephen! I also see now that it is after a Print
Preview the scale is changed 100% - 1%. This is probable sufficient
input for the devs to squash the bug...

[Bug 217151] Re: Epiphany prints blank pages

2008-06-19 Thread Bengt Olsson
Yet some more soul-seeking... it seems that the problem for me (and
possibly at least krizz) is that my Scale option in the Print...
Page Setup dialog was set to 1.0 % instead of 100%. This made all the
difference... Don't know why it is like that, I can't remember ever
having changed that, maybe Scale had another scale before... Anyway this
problem is solved for me now anyway.

Cheers! :)

[Bug 217151] Re: Epiphany prints blank pages

2008-06-19 Thread Bengt Olsson
Was to early again... The problem persists but what happens is that the
Scale parameter changes itself to 1 (%) even though the Epiphany
session starts out with 100 (%). Typically when the browser is started
and you do the first printout, scale is set to 100%. However, at the
next print attempt the scale parameter has changed itself to 1%.

The obvious workaround is to manually reset the scale parameter to
100% every time you print something. This is tedious however.

Confirming this bug. Similar printout as above with only header and footer
printed. Using
HP LaserJet 4050 Series Postscript (recommended) driver.

[Bug 217151] Re: Epiphany prints blank pages

2008-06-18 Thread Bengt Olsson
Was a little bit hasty. Indeed it seems like the printout is there but
with very tiny fonts, just like krizz says, see attachment. On my work
laptop it happens all the time, om my home desktop it mostly happens,
but it may start out with printing alright.

[Bug 112518] Re: Switch User freezes at blank screen

2007-10-06 Thread Bengt Olsson
When I switch from one user to another I get the black screen. Logging
in remotely I see that what I presume is a new gdm process consumes
almost all CPU:

root 5732 99.6 0.5 15312 6160 tty9 RLs+ 15:33 9:40
/usr/bin/X :20 -br -audit 0 -auth /var/lib/gdm/:20.Xauth -nolisten tcp
vt9

It is no problem otherwise to work on the box from a ssh session. But
when I try to kill the above process with kill -9 the box hangs
completely, including the ssh session. Any other specific information
you want from the ssh session while in hang state?

[Bug 112518] Re: Switch User freezes at blank screen

2007-10-06 Thread Bengt Olsson
No output at all from the strace command, even when sending SIGTERM or
SIGKILL to the gdm process that was eating cpu. However, the problem
went away when I installed xserver-xgl (gutsy). BTW I'm using fglrx
8.37.6 from the gutsy repos.

[Bug 69008] Re: Clock applet updated time wrong when switching from summer time to normal time

2006-10-31 Thread Bengt Olsson
OK, here is the chain of events

1. Woke up Sunday Oct. 29, the day at which summer time is switched to
normal time in Europe (at 03:00). Computer has been switched off since
the evening before.

2. Switch on computer at about 09:30 local time.

3. Expected clock applet to show time 09:30, instead it showed time
02:30 which is 7 hours behind the correct time.

That's all. Then I manually adjusted the time to correct time from the
System Administration Time and Date dialog and now it is working
fine. I don't know to what extent time was screwed up in the computer as
a whole, but I suspect it was only the clock applet that showed wrong
time.

As said before the computer clock has been synchronized to the two servers
ntp.ubuntu.com
127.127.1.0
since installation of Ubuntu 6.10 on Thursday October 26.

[Bug 69008] Clock applet updated time wrong when switching from summer time to normal time

2006-10-29 Thread Bengt Olsson
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-applets

When I switched on the computer this morning the time was 7 hours off. instead
of 09:30 it showed 02:30. Time zone Europe/Stockholm and synchronizing to
servers
ntp.ubuntu.com
127.127.1.0
Unfortunately i checked the date cli command after I had manually adjusted
the applet clock from the System Administration Time and Date dialog, but
it shows the right time.
