I can see that a fix has been comitted for Ubuntu, but in which version is it included? 2.24.1? I have the same problem in Jaunty using version 2.24.1. I used to have the ATI driver, but it made the complete system too slow. When I turned off the ATI driver the system is usable. With both drivers the CPU usage is going to 100% when displaying the resources tab in the System Monitor.
