Chris,
What is the problem with disabling the extension, waiting for the

Well, you have five duplicates and three people in this thread
confirming it. You also had a patch with two people claiming it fixed
the problem. I would venture to say that the original bug was confirmed
long ago and fixed.
I would't know, though, because Ubuntu shipped a default app which
I'm not sure. It was broken for a month. I believe it was fixed, but I
had left by that time. It may well be broken again.
As I said, though, I can't test it.
Best of luck.

Well, I guess that's one way to dispose of a bug. So for Hardy, the
warning was just removed altogether (probably due to the change to
gvfs), the now invalid shortcut in Nautilus is visible but unaccessible,
and the eight-month-old bug is marked invalid.
It's a new low in bug fixing.

So giving the wrong directions isn't important enough to update? Heads

Can anyone else reproduce this? I have a pretty stock install. Purging

What's the status on this? The bug is easy to fix. New users remain

I believe you can only unsafely remove an external drive, not a CD (you
must software eject that), so changing the Unsafe removal, please use

Agreed that we should choose one or the other. It appears that Ubuntu
has made the choice to go with F-Spot, so import should be through
F-Spot, as well. There's no need to import photos via GThumb (which
isn't even on the menu by default), then import again into F-Spot. It's
