[Bug 1980933] [NEW] Blanked screen doesn't wake up after put into powersave
Public bug reported: This is *similar* to #1968040 but I'm raising it as a separate issue as the workarounds there do not work for my system suggesting that this is indeed a separate bug. When allowing the system to blank the screen, it becomes impossible to awaken the screen some unknown length of time after DPMS poweroff is triggered. Neither the keyboard nor the mouse can be used to trigger the screens to power back on again once powered down by DPMS. My system is a custom-build desktop PC with a discrete AMD 6600XT GPU and two external 4k monitors. I have tried the workarounds in the above bug and neither worked. Namely pressing ctrl+alt+f1 (nor any other f-keys in combo with ctrl+alt) does not bring the monitors back to life, and adding MUTTER_DEBUG_ENABLE_ATOMIC_KMS=0 to /etc/environment does not change the behaviour in any way. The system is still responsive to the network and I can SSH into the box to investigate when in this scenario. I think is something wrong in sed (sed expression in post-installation script): https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sed/+bug/447866 The issue makes sed not working well with -s expressions It looks can be solved changing LANG settings: export LANG=C (mine was LANG=es_ES.utf8 when errors happened). However, If by error the inserted card is protected, nautilus warns against it displaying that the file cannot be moved to the trash. Anyway the message dialog has to problems, the first one being that it show two buttons asking to the user if the file should be deleted, or all selected files in protected media should be deleted. [Bug 175194] view - load images does not work
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution Probably related to Bug #42597, but maybe more generic... When you receieve a message with linked images, there is no way to view them apart from switching temporarily to 'Always Load Images Off the Net'. Once the images of the previewed message are cached, you can switch back to 'Never Load Imags Off the Net'. Selecting 'View - Load Images' or pressing Ctrl+I (either in the preview panel or in the message itself) does not seem to have any effect. [Bug 34247] Re: Trash always empty.
Same beahaviour hear. Surely related to usb storage devices, as many people is reporting. I have found the following in the nautilus-internals documento hold in gnome cvs: 7.6 Trash Nautilus uses the gnome-vfs trash system. It works by creating a trash directory for each mount point, when it can. The directory is called .Trash-username and stored in the top directory of the mount. For files on the same device as the user homedir $HOME/.Trash is used instead. I believe that the trash gnome vfs code doesn't has a problem. I think the problem is in the trash applet code, as not honouring the several trash paths available in the system. -- Trash always empty. https://launchpad.net/bugs/34247 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
